Welcome to Calow Church of England (VC) Primary School
Welcome to Calow CofE VC Primary School website.
Our school is situated in the heart of Calow, close to St Peter's Church in beautiful grounds overlooking fields. The Royal hospital can be seen in the distance from our top playground. We are fortunate enough to have an outdoor classroom and our own woodland area.
Our school motto is 'Show your SHINE everywhere' and reflects our high expectations of all our staff and children in and out of school. Every day one child in every class is chosen for a SHINE award if they have displayed our core values of:
Show respect
“Treat others as you want to be treated” Luke 6v31
Honesty and Kindness
“An honest person tells the truth but a dishonest person lies” proverbs 12v17
Include everyone
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed” Ecclesiastes 4v9
Never give up
“You will get rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up” Galatians 6V9
Enthusiastic learners
“The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out” Proverbs 18v15
Our school is a community in which every aspect of a child’s education is important. We want all our children to feel successful, happy and healthy. We want them to enjoy and make the most of their time at school, setting themselves up well for the future.
We provide a varied, stimulating, and challenging environment and curriculum to ensure that they reach their full potential. Our expectations of their behaviour, effort and attitude are high, all based on our key values and Christian ethos.
If you would like to know more about our school, then please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange a visit to see for yourself.
I look forward to meeting you.
